Everything You Need
to Know—Upfront

From construction to support and pricing, here are quick answers to the most common questions we get from homeowners.
How is Platform different from a traditional homebuilder?

We combine pre-designed models with off-site fabrication and a single, accountable team. That means clearer pricing, faster timelines, and fewer surprises from day one.

How does a pre-designed home save you money?

Choosing a Pre-designed home means no architecture and design fees, which are typically 10-20% of the project costs. So for a home that costs $2M to build, thats a savings of $200k - $400k, and a time savings of 6-12 months.

How long does a typical project take?

Many projects finish in roughly 6–9 months from permit issuance to move-in, depending on site complexity, scope, and utility timelines.

What makes Platform homes more fire-resilient?

Our homes are built using Type II noncombustible materials (steel and other non-burning assemblies), Class-A roofing, ignition-resistant exteriors, ember-resistant vents, and tempered glazing.

What's included in the platform building process?

We handle everything from start to finish; site assessment, architecture and engineering, permitting, financing assistance, construction and making sure you receive certificate of occupancy before handing you the keys!

Which build method is best for your project?

While there are nuances, in general if speed and cost is your objective MODULAR is right for you. If you want the speed of modular with some slight modifications to the design HYBRID is the way to go. If you need a complete custom design build, TRADITIONAL site constrcution is the best choice.
